Here At Nemotech we can work on corrupted bios, locked bios and perform bios replacements.
firstly what is the bios?
BIOS, in full Basic Input/Output System, computer program that is typically stored in EPROM and used by the CPU to perform start-up procedures when the computer is turned on. Its two major procedures are determining what peripheral devices (keyboard, mouse, disk drives, printers, video cards, etc.) are available and loading the operating system (OS) into main memory. After start-up, the BIOS program manages data flow between the OS and the peripherals, so neither the OS nor the application programs need to know the details of the peripherals (such as hardware addresses). In the early 21st century, BIOS was supplanted by United Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI), which can handle much larger drives and operate faster than BIOS.
A special Bios tool is used to program the bios here at nemotech we use either the SkyPRO or the CH341A along with software that can write the bios firmware using a hex file that can be extracted from the bios firmware provided by the computers manufacturers.
Using the CH341A (nemotechs Preferred bios programming Tool)

- Open your laptop and find your bios chip and search for it. Usually you need 8-pin chip with first two digits 25, like this: Winbond 25Q32FVSVQ, 25Q32FV, 25Q64FV, 25L3273E, MX25L6473E or the same
- Connect the ch341a and clip to your windows machine and laptop
- Open ch341a programmer 1.13/ CH341A.exe click “chip search” if it find your chip then next step, else rechip the chip/
- Open ch341a programmer 1.26/ CH341AFree.exe choose your bios type/size.
- Click Read
- After done click Save (original_1.bin)
- Repeat step5 and save as original_2.bin
- Open HxD “Crtl+k” compare original_1.bin and original_2.bin if they are same go to next step otherwise repeat 5)
- Then post it in the relevant topic or upload it to any fileserver and post the link in the relevant topic.
- When you get your modified bios, then time to write bios to the chip
- Open ch341a programmer 1.26/ CH341AFree.exe choose your bios type/size
- Click Erase it will erase your chip . You must do it before flash
- After bios chip will be erased , then click Open, choice your modified bios
- Click Write and wait 100%
- Now the mod is done, remove the clip and power on the laptop, it will beep 5 x2 time , it will gone once you go to bios setting and restart.
Remember that working with the bios in this state its critical to perform a backup of the original firmware, also to use the correct bios firmware supplied by the manufacturers.
If you are unsure of doing this yourself rather have a professional do this for you. Desoldering the eeprom incorrectly could damage the tracks on your motherboard and potentially end up costing much more on repairs.
Nemotech specializes in board level repairs and would love to assist with whatever issues you may have.
